Tallinn Music Week Recap!

Here are some impressions from the Tallinn Music Week. The event was very well organised by Helen Sildna and her team. To have the Estonian president open the ceremony and tell the audience to be an Arcade Fire fan was a perfect start in the day.

Right afterwards we hosted our 2nd CnB networks panel moderated by Ralph Christoph. The topic was the relationship between Culture and Tourism with panelists from Iceland, Finland and Estonia.

This is what the weather looked like during the day.

Estonians love to drink vodka during dinner.

Had a great talk and some drinks with Armin (Eastblok.de) & Arris (Alleslos.nl).

Most promising band I saw that night: French Films from Finland. I guess every country has their young indie bands just like we have Beat!Beat!Beat! or Sizarr…

Afterwards we stopped very briefly in the legendary Depeche Mode bar. I’ve been told that Depeche Mode played the night Estonia got their independence and has ever since been the most important band for the Estonian pride. Much cooler than David Hasselhoff and the Scorpions.
